Skinny Blonde

The concept for Skinny Blonde was born three years ago while three mates enjoyed a few beers and decided that they could improve upon Australia's popular beer brands. A degree in Chemical Engineering and home brew experience were a good foundation and plans to build a pilot brewery were drawn up over a foosball table in a Bondi Beach laundry, and Brothers Ink was born. During the course of research and development the brewery was set on fire and also succumbed to that timeless classic, exploding bottles.

Skinny Blonde has just been released in bottles and already the Brothers are creating quite a stir with their cheeky branding. At the centre of the label is Daisy, a 1950s pin up girl. As the beer is consumed, the bottle warms up and Daisy's red bikini gradually fades until it disappears entirely, revealing all. This irreverant use of modern ink technology is a world first and is gaining the attention of creative marketing agencies and the wrath of up-tight conservatives.

Skinny Blonde is an easy drinking session beer that is best suited to good times with your mates and also goes down well with barbeques and sport. It is a low carb lager made from 100% all natural ingredients, contains no preservatives or additives and has an alcohol content of 5.2%.

Skinny Blonde is Australia's first craft brewed low carb lager and has already won its first award - The "People's Choice - Best Beer" Award from the Australian Beer Festival 2008. Skinny Blonde is the preferred beverage of tastemakers, and has developed a rock 'n roll and artistic following, due in part to the brains behind the beer.

In June 2009, Skinny Blonde attracted controversy across Australia over its beer bottle packaging which - through the use of modern ink technology viagra - has a 1950s style pin-up girl called 'Daisy' on the beer bottle label slowly revealing herself as the beer level drops and the bottle temperature rises.

The label has angered some health and women's groups who claimed, "This is another blatant cheap airline tickets example of the alcohol industry objectifying women to move product". Women's Forum Australia spokeswoman Melinda Tankard was quoted as saying: "This is demeaning, inappropriate and troubling." Rosser responded, "This generation of Aussies have grown up on the beach and topless girls in bikinis are commonplace. The label and website is in no way meant to offend women or anyone else, rather embrace the Australian beach culture." He was also quoted insurance as saying that the beer was "just a bit of cheeky fun."
